Received the fog in the mail. Got out the fog machines to test and my biggest machine is not working. This is the same machine that gave me grief last Halloween. I'm going to take it apart and see if it just needs a good cleaning. Wish me luck.
Fog Juice!
Received my gallon of fog juice from FroggysFog.com today. I ordered Swamp Juice this time which is supposedly very very thick. I used "Freezin' Juice" last year from Froggy's and it worked out awesome but it dissipates fairly rapidly and with the wind being unpredictable as it is, I'm thinking this stuff will be easier to work with.

Fog Distribution
I tested a new method for distributing low lying fog this week to great success! Previously I used a 'venturi' style chiller with a cooler and PVC pipe (pictured below). I never could get this chiller to produce the low lying fog I wanted to fill the cemetery scene. The other day I saw a very simple design on the web using some 3-4" PVC and some fittings with ice contained inside the pipe and an elbow fitting outlet. Here's the link: Liemavicks $20 Fog Chiller
I made some modifications from Liemavicks design in that I simply capped off the end of the pipe and drilled three 3/4" holes throughout the length of the pipe instead of using an elbow fitting. Even with only 1/2 of the pipe filled with ice the end result was pretty drastic -- nice low lying fog that just hanged around for 2-3 minutes! I'm using Froggy's Frog Freezin Fog juice which is awesome. I'll upload some pictures soon.

New Fog Machine and Juice...
Received some deliveries this week. Most notable is a new fog machine which is 3-4 times more powerful than the crappy Fog Machines purchased from Wal-Mart in years past. I also ordered some Fog Juice from Froggy's Fog which is supposedly the Cadillac of Fog Juices. They say it's the stuff used for professional haunts and training firemen. We'll see if it makes a difference..

Fog Chiller Project '04
Fog Chiller project '04. This thing was supposed to make lots of dense low laying fog, however just the opposite seemed to occur as all I got was a bunch of sweet sweet evaporative mist (that's bad). The design of the fog chiller goes something like this: Fill cooler with ice, Make a little PVC stand that allows for fog to pass through underneath but keeps ice from falling through and clogging the intake/outake. The fog machine sits on top of the sealed cooler and sends the fog through 3-4" PVC down into the cooler and out the other end. I might try to re-work the design for '05. The outside tempature is also the X factor here, anyone major in thermodynamics?
